Job Title: CAD Drafter Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a Drafter for a 6-month contract-to-hire position. The ideal candidate will move and edit drawings within AutoCAD, transfer engineering drawings into the VAULT program, and work closely with the engineering team to compile drawings and data appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Move and edit drawings within AutoCAD

• Transfer engineering drawings from AutoCAD into the VAULT program

• Work with the engineering team to compile drawings and data

• Manage document control for projects and the engineering department

• Issue documents to construction groups

• Receive and file project-related documents in Vault

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience using AutoCAD

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2018 or newer

• Experience with Autodesk Vault

• Strong document control skills

• Ability to perform 2D line drawings and redlines for electrical, mechanical, and civil drawings

• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel

• Ability to interface with the engineering team to manage documents and drawings

• Electrical P&ID CAD experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent organizational skills

• MS Excel power user

• Experience in electrical, civil, structural, and mechanical drafting

Work Environment

The Drafter will work onsite supporting the engineering team. The position requires working from 8 AM to 5 PM EST, Monday through Friday. The candidate will report directly to the engineering team and will be involved in both CAD drafting and document control tasks, with a 50/50 split between the two responsibilities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00
