Job Summary\ \ Provides supervision of all on-site activities at a Friends of Children and Families (FOCAF) Head Start and Early Head Start Center locations to ensure compliance of Head Start and Early Head Start educational and operational Performance Standards and to provide quality comprehensive family-centered early childhood services; performs related work as required.\ \ Essential Functions

- - Directs the planning and implementation of operational procedures for the Head Start Center in compliance with all relevant federal, state, county, and city statutes.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Ensures the Center meets the educational, recreational, nutritional, physical, and health needs of children in safe activities that stimulate childrens growth and development.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Directs and/or provides support services for all children and staff working with families to effectively transition children into and out of Head Start programs.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Directly supervises the general work duties of Teachers, Assistant Teachers, Family Advocates, Food Service Staff, Early Childhood Parent Educator, Transportation Staff, and Substitutes, and any other staff assigned to the Center.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Assists and ensures adequate training of staff, parents, and volunteers.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Maintains monthly office supply, janitorial, education, and family engagement budgets, spending and ordering as assigned for the center.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Monitors data on children and families in the Centers program.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Maintains effective communications with others, including guiding, training, coaching, and mentoring of staff; maintains professional communications with children, parents, and the community.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Maintains professionalism within the Center. Accepts supervision and direction, gives, and receives feedback on the quality of services and administration of the center.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Responsible for reviewing classroom inventories and ordering consumables, materials and furniture as needed.

{=html} <!-- --> - - Trains safety practices, models safe maintenance of the environment, and utilizes monitoring to ensure safety at the Center location.
