Description

We are in search of a Dispatcher to join our team in Merchantville, New Jersey. This role is primarily focused on customer service, including communicating with customers to determine their needs and managing service technicians' schedules. You will be based fully on-site and will play a crucial role in maintaining efficient operations within our company. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Manage communications with customers to assess their requirements

• Schedule service technicians' work order assignments using dispatching software

• Receive check-in calls from service technicians, informing them of the next job and updating the system

• Support service technicians by ordering and processing parts and coordinating returns

• Maintain a log sheet of service calls

• Keep customer repair records updated using the computer database, providing a detailed history of work performed at their sites

• Maintain the dispatching board to ensure maximum efficiency of technician capacity

• Manage on-call schedule and notify technicians of their assigned weeks

• Keep the answering service updated with the schedule and emergency contact numbers

• Understand the service work order module and service contracts

• Stay active in all facets of dispatch

• Handle various reporting responsibilities as needed

• Understand technicians' capabilities and dispatch accordingly

Requirements • Must have strong skills in customer service

• Experience in dispatching is required

• Proficient in client communications

• Excellent time management abilities

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

• Clear and effective communication skills

• Proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and reporting

• Must be able to work both independently and in a team

• Ability to handle stressful situations and high-pressure scenarios

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions

• Flexibility to work in various shifts, including nights and weekends, if necessary

• Knowledge of geographic areas and routes would be beneficial.
