With direct guidance in a team environment, responsible for operating one or more production machines working from blueprints, sketches and route sheets.
Perform repetitive machine operations (incuding reworking parts) such as cutting, shaping, deburring, forming, drilling, reaming and smoothing parts
Aligh and fasten parts using standard fixtures where established methods are followed
Visualy inspect parts for burrs and damaged machine surface
Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks cracks or other irregularities from machined parts
Inspect parts for conformance to specifications by visual examination and the use of gauges or other measuring instruments
Accurately and regularly perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) requirements
Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations while maintaining a clean work area in orderly condition
Perform other related responsibilites
Qualifications
HS Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1-2 years general or related machine shop experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities
Must demonstrate manual dexterity
Must be able to read and understand bludeprints
Working knowledge of machine shop mathematics
Must demonstrate effective English verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player
