ManpowerGroup Line Maintainer/Mechanic - Menomonie, WI in Menomonie, Wisconsin

Location: WI, Menomonie, 1416 Indianhead Dr. E,

Shift: 5:00pm - 5:00am, 2-2-3 rotation

Payrate: $28.96 with $1.50 Shift Diff and 5% weekend Diff (So, $30.46 and roughly $1.44 more for weekend hours)

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications for Line Maintainer/Mechanic at Silgan Containers Manufacturing:

Responsibilities:

  1. Set up, adjust, operate, troubleshoot, and repair machinery

  2. Manufacture quality products efficiently in an industrial setting

  3. Interpret and analyze data to tight tolerances and specifications

  4. Use precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators)

  5. Read machine tool blueprints

  6. Diagnose equipment failures

  7. Modify or engineer new working tooling and parts to improve equipment efficiency

Qualifications:

  1. Strong mechanical background

  2. Excellent math skills

  3. Familiarity with Statistical Process Controls (SPCs) preferred

  4. Working knowledge of precision measuring instruments

  5. Ability to read machine tool blueprints

  6. Minimum high school diploma or GED (Associate or Technical Degree preferred)

  7. Willingness to work 12-hour shifts and every other weekend

Schedule and Compensation:

  • 2-2-3 rotating schedule

  • Night shift: 5 pm - 5 am

  • Base wage: $28.96/hour

  • Shift differential: $1.50/hour

  • Weekend differential: 5% ($1.44/hour)

  • Total hourly rate: $30.46 (weekdays), $31.90 (weekends)

  • Benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, vacation, 401K, and bonus
