POSITION SUMMARY: The experienced Manual Machinist will produce a variety of high-precision, high-quality components required for our machine tools and automation products. This work, conducted in a bright, temperature-controlled environment.. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Plans and completes setups from detailed manufacturing drawings Sets up and operates manual lathes and mills in a short run, close tolerance environment Able to read engineering drawings (GD&T) Selects appropriate tooling based on materials and tolerances Operates machines to produce high precision, low volume parts, calculating proper SFM and feeds. Inspects work to ensure proper specifications and very close tolerances are met Debur, drill, and tap work to the highest standards.
