Job Description: HR Generalist

Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and adaptable HR Generalist to join our dynamic HR team. The HR Generalist will support a variety of human resources functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, and HR policy implementation. The ideal candidate will act as a trusted resource for employees and management, contributing to a positive work environment and the overall success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures.

  • Address employee relations issues, conducting investigations as necessary, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and organizational policies.

  • Foster a positive workplace culture by promoting employee engagement initiatives.

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, draft job descriptions, and conduct recruitment activities.

  • Oversee the recruitment process, including job postings, application reviews, scheduling interviews, and extending job offers.

  • Facilitate new hire onboarding, ensuring a seamless transition into the organization.

Benefits Administration:

  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment, changes, and understanding available programs.

  • Serve as a liaison with benefits providers to resolve employee issues.

  • Support the open enrollment process and ensure compliance with benefits-related regulations.

HR Compliance & Reporting:

  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Prepare and maintain employment records in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Generate HR reports and metrics as requested by leadership.

Performance Management & Training:

  • Support the implementation of performance review processes, providing coaching to managers and employees as needed.

  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 3+ years of relevant HR experience, with exposure to various HR functions or an HR generalist role.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of HR principles, best practices, and employment laws.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships.

  • High levels of confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

  • Proven organizational and time management abilities.

Certifications (Preferred, but not required):

  • PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional).
