BrightStar Care LVN Administrative Assistant to Director of Nursing in Menifee, California

BrightStar Care of Central Western Riverside County is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented self-starter to join our home health agency team.  We are actively screening candidates with an active LVN License to assist our Director of Patient Care Services with day-to-day tasks in a back-office setting (about 80% of time), and occasional LVN field work (about 20% of time).   The ideal candidate would possess experience working under the direct supervision of a physician or Director of Nursing managing patient information while adhering to HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality, as well as experience in scheduling and maintaining an up-to-date schedule for clients and nurses.  Proficiency using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook for email and basic computer skills.  This position may include being on-call, using your personal cell phone for work purposes, and occasional travel in your own vehicle.   Benefits  * Weekly pay with direct deposit  * Medical/dental benefits available after 60 days * 2 weeks of paid vacation available after 6 months * Cell phone use reimbursement  * Mileage reimbursement   Responsibilities  * Assist office staff with answering phone calls. * Conduct professional calls to clients, field staff, doctors' offices, etc. * Review new client referrals with DPCS and assist with the acceptance or decline process. * Activate new clients and enter necessary data to schedule initial visits. * Assist with new client introductions and assessments. * Assist DPCS with maintaining LVN and RN schedules. * Assist in orientation competencies for new field staff. * Conduct clinical record reviews. * Monitor and maintain billing authorizations. * Maintain and file patient documentation. * Perform all skills, treatments, and procedures in the LVN scope of practice as defined in the California Nurse Practice Act and adheres to the policies, procedures, and protocols of the agency. * Implement treatment and plan of care, using sound judgment and critical thinking. * Provide accurate, detailed, and timely documentation consistent with the plan of care and the nursing processes.   Requirements * Unencumbered California LVN license. * One (1) year of nursing experience required; three (3) years preferred. * Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray * Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance. * Strong clinical skills. * Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision. * Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English and communicate effectively. * Physical exam. * Must be able to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull.  Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client.  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. * Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray. * Bilingual a plus!     We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against applicants due to race, ethnicity, gender, veteran status, or on the basis of disability or any other federal, state or local protected class.
