Sea Freight Coordinator

Hours: 8am-4:30pm, M-F

Pay: $23.00-$24.00 per hour

Temporary role (could potentialy become temp-to-hire)

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES

• Track-and-trace ocean containers daily

• Update missing milestones daily

• Update reports daily

• Coordination with shippers, truckers, steamship lines and offices for the shipments.

• Customer Service responsibilities include maintaining communication with vendor, shipper, customer, carrier and overseas offices throughout the process and choosing proper routing appropriate to the customer's needs.

• Maintain SOP (standard operating procedures) and customer profiles including key contacts, special requirements, contract rates and preferred routings/services/carriers.

• Review information published on Intranet system daily.

• Immediately report problems, operation disputes or discrepancies to a supervisor, manager, divisional manager or branch manager.

• Employees may also have additional responsibilities in accordance with supporting a specific department(s)/division(s) and/or be tasked with specific, individualized assignments.

• Resolve issues respective to meeting client requirements, data input - general customer service inquiries related to tracking & tracing.

Experience and Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Office, and Outlook (basic Excel skills such as filtering and sorting required)

• General computer proficiency

• Team player

• Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM

• Reliable and dependable

• Customer Service skills
