Description
We are in the process of expanding our team in the Scientific Instrument Manufacturing industry, located in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, United States. We have an opening for a Cash Application Specialist who will play a crucial role in our customer accounts management process. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, providing a platform to showcase your skills in Data Processing, Accounting Functions, Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash Activity, Cash Applications, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Excel, and 10 Key Skills.
Responsibilities:
• Handle customer credit applications using SAP, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain and update customer credit records regularly
• Address and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail-oriented manner
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions as required
• Enter payment information such as customer number, invoice number, and amount of payment into the system
• Apply incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts until a $0 balance is achieved
• Process a high volume of checks daily, applying them to the correct accounts
• Ensure all data from scanned images from US Bank are accurately entered into the system
• Verify and apply statement due checks to maintain net 0 balances
• Manage and coordinate accounting functions effectively.

Requirements • Strong proficiency in Data Processing, with the ability to handle large volumes of information efficiently and accurately.
• Demonstrated experience in Accounting Functions, with a keen understanding of financial principles and practices.
• Proficiency in managing Accounts Receivable (AR), with the ability to handle credit and collections tasks.
• Extensive experience in Cash Activity management, including recording and reconciling cash transactions.
• Experience in Cash Applications, with the ability to apply cash receipts to customer invoices accurately.
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems, with the ability to leverage these tools for optimal financial management.
• Proficiency in Oracle, with the ability to utilize this database management system effectively for financial tasks.
• Experience with SAP, demonstrating competency in this business process management tool.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to perform complex functions, and manage large datasets.
• Strong 10 Key Skills, with the ability to input numerical data quickly and accurately.
