Research Scientist IGrade 18Full Time Salary: $61,811 - $70,591The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. is seeking qualified candidates to fill a full-time, salaried Research Scientist I position for New York State 988 Call Centers at the New York State Office of Mental Health (NYS OMH). This position is embedded in the Office of Population Health and Evaluation, Bureau of Population Planning. This position is fully funded and made possible by funding support from Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).The Research Scientist I will support 988 and crisis program reporting and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the public mental health system, including crisis response, and the ability to provide timely, accurate quality reports to be widely disseminated as well as ability to work as part of a team and manage multiple priorities.Duties and Responsibilities: The Research Scientist I will work under the direction of a data coordinator who will be responsible for overseeing the data collection and reporting from each of New York State’s 988 call centers into a data repository. Specific job responsibilities will include the following.•Disseminate consistent data guidance across call centers, ensuring that data collection is complete and accurate•Assist in ongoing quality checks on data received from call centers•Create monthly reports outlining call/contact volume, call outcomes, and caller demographics•Handle all data and reporting in accordance with HIPAA. Minimum Qualifications:•Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional research experience in an appropriate field or master’s degree in an appropriate field may substitute for one year of the experience.
