To succeed in this role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Consider this role if you want to participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. To be preferred for this position, you will need to have a complex understanding Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.

How you will make an impact

  • Manage intercompany reconciliation, billings, and transactions

  • Upon request, take part in special projects and impromptu reporting

  • Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives

  • Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

  • In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

  • Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

  • Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

  • Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries

  • Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

  • Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

  • Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls. Also ensure that accounting procedures comply with GAAP

  • Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

  • Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision

    Requirements - Expertise in account reconciliation

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired

  • QuickBooks experience

  • Deep understanding of financial reporting

  • Foundational knowledge in Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

  • Competent with spreadsheets and databases

  • Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

  • Vow to meet business deadlines

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

  • Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards

  • Experience with ERP systems

  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

  • Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
