This position reports to the Director Sales, Marketing and Events. Rooftop Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations. Beck & Call will set an unprecedented experience within the Arts District area in Memphis, with sweeping views of the city, Beale Street, Tom Lee Park, and the Mississippi River. The success of the rooftop lounge is paramount to the overall success of the hotel. The perfect candidate will create an immediate amount of buzz and publicity for the rooftop lounge through target community marketing efforts. They will ensure brand-integrity and an elevated experience curated for each patron.

Job Responsibilities

• ·Responsible for short- and long-term planning and the management of the rooftop lounge.

• ·Develop and recommend the budget, concepts and objectives and manage within those approved plans

• ·Implement and maintain food & beverage sales/marketing programs

• ·Work with Director of Sales and Executive Chef to implementing new food & beverage concepts

• ·Facilitate lounge activities and operate equipment to ensure daily operations

• ·Direct and oversee development of employees

• ·Hire, train, empower, coach and counsel, performance and salary reviews

• ·Work closely with leadership to ensure member/guests retainment / satisfaction

• ·Direct the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for beverage operations

• ·Coordinate rooftop operations with other hotel departments to ensure efficient guest service

• ·Resolve guests/member complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality

• ·Implement procedures to increase guest/member and employee satisfaction

• ·Exercise quality control for both food and beverage, Events Sales and private events

• ·Maintain Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis standards of service and ensure their implementation

• ·Perform daily walk-through to ensure full compliance with Department of Health regulations and Hyatt Corporate standards

• ·Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis service standards and procedures

Qualifications:

Qualifications - External

· Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people.

· Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and ability to improve the bottom line

· Knowledge of Memphis specifically is a plus.

· Service oriented style with professional presentations skills

· Proven leadership skills

· Hotel/Hospitality degree an asset

· Clear concise written and verbal communication skills

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

· Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skill
