Position Overview:

The Research and Adjustments Associate is responsible for collecting on behalf of First Horizon Bank adjustments related to the processing of deposits and checks. Handles corrections to customer accounts for paper deposits & checks posting incorrectly (i.e. Missing Deposits, Encoding errors).

Ability to resolve complex exception items from Check Processing, Federal Reserve Banks, and Due from Banks, including but not limited to Re-reconcilement of batches, blocks and tracers.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and resolve adjustments through the use of Image Retrieval System, ATF, V-Soft and exporter

  • Make systematic searches and offsets through Adjustment Express as well as paper entries

  • Issuance of collection letters, with telephone follow up with Federal Reserve Banks, other financial institutions, Corporations (both customer and non-customer) with good communications skills

  • Retrieve and mail requests for past DDA statements

  • Other Duties as assigned

  • Ensure all cases are resolved in compliance with industry regulations and bank procedures using the departments case management system and financial controls

  • Assist other department associates as needed by handling inquires, issues and discrepancies

Requirements:

  • High School diploma required; degree preferred or equivalent experience/working

  • Two years of check processing/check reconcilement or the equivalent work experience in research

  • Knowledge of debits and credits

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • 10-Key skills required

Hours:

  • Monday - Friday

  • 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
