ManpowerGroup Process Engineer in Memphis, Tennessee

Position Summary

This role provides technical and operational leadership for the R&D pilot plant facility. The incumbent will oversee the development and scale-up of new products and manufacturing processes in collaboration with R&D, product management, and field sales. Additionally, this position involves optimizing existing manufacturing processes and ensuring a safe and efficient transition to full-scale production.

Pay Range: 90-110k

Essential Job Functions

  • Conduct and oversee design of experiment (DOE) studies to establish safety and quality parameters for new manufacturing processes, adhering to Six Sigma principles.

  • Research and implement innovative manufacturing technologies across lab and production facilities.

  • Conduct thorough safety reviews to ensure process and equipment integrity and prevent incidents.

  • Develop and maintain detailed chemical process manufacturing procedures (CPMPs or CSOPs) in alignment with regulatory requirements.

  • Perform root cause analyses for safety and quality incidents or near misses.

  • Employ statistical and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to optimize manufacturing processes.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive automation solutions for new processes, including sequence development, interlocks, alarms, and control schemes.

Essential Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

  • 7-9 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or a related field.

  • Alternatively, a Chemistry degree with 10+ years of direct chemical manufacturing experience.
