Description Robert Half is looking to staff a Payroll Manager with our well-respected client! The Payroll Manager will help meet standards for the financial department necessary for growth and will work on tax-related tasks, such as W2 forms, preparing reports and updating policies. How you will make an impact

• Help create systems that process payroll account transactions, like salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments

• Resolve issues and answer payroll-related questions

• Comply with relevant laws and internal policies

• Create reports and ensure accuracy of records

• Organize payroll systems and timekeeping

• Coach and supervise payroll assistants and clerks

• Oversee processing of payroll changes (e.g., new hires, terminations, raises) and system upgrades

• Work with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams

• Handle payroll tax audits and collaborate with auditors Requirements - CPP, CPM, or other related detail oriented certifications is a plus

• Organizational and leadership skills

• Strong understanding of compliance

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Skilled in handling confidential business matters and information with discretion

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources or related field

• 5+ years of payroll experience

• Capable of working in payroll applications

• Previous experience with multi-location payroll and taxes

• Sound understanding of current payroll procedures and related laws

• 2+ years of proven leadership experience as a payroll manager or similar role
