Job Responsibilities:

• As the Payment Specialist, you will be responsible for processing and posting all checks received against clients’ invoices.

• Assist with cash application.

• Handle customer cash applications including recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.

• Print labels and attach to check copies as per company standards in your role as an Accounting Assistant.

• Handle payment memos, hold checks, and hot checks.

• Contact customers regarding short payments and conduct research on checks without adequate information as an Accounts Receivable Assistant.

• Ensure accurate and timely data entry with minimal errors in the Accounting Clerk role.

• Reconcile daily batches and address discrepancies with accounting as an AR Clerk.

• Perform phone inquiries and research for unclear checks.

• Assist other departments with payment-related inquiries within this Accounts Receivable Clerk role.

• Meet performance goals set by management as a key member of the A/R team.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• 1-2 years of cash handling and/or customer service experience.

• Accounts Receivable experience preferred.

• Proficient in business software, especially Excel, Word, and Lotus, crucial for an Accounts Receivable Clerk.

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and speed in data entry, essential for an Accounting Clerk.

• Strong problem-solving abilities.

This is a full time position, 40 hours per week. Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. The pay for this position is $19/hour.
