BUNZL Operations Manager in Memphis, Tennessee

The Operations Manager will manage and oversee all office functions for the branch, including direct supervision of departments as assigned.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage overall operations of the front-office

  • Manage Staff in departments as assigned (General Office and Supply Chain)

  • Foster a safe workplace and promote a culture of safety for the facility.

  • Provide coaching & guidance to employees for developing strong teams.

  • Liaison between Front Office and Warehouse Operations

  • Collaborate with internal leadership team (Management, Sales, Purchasing, Customer Service, Logistics) to maximize profitability, efficiency and to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Strategically assess current processes/people, establish an execution plan to achieve long-term business goals.

  • Optimize processes of order checking, outbound freight utilization (cost savings) & digital orders.

  • Manage Trade Compliance and Foreign Trade Zone.

  • Negotiate office contracts with outside vendors as needed.

  • Prepare and run KPI reports as needed for department’s accountability.

  • Assist branch with Corporate Record Retention Program.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Prior management experience is highly preferred

  • Must have solid analytical problem solving skills

  • Must be proficient in MS Office Products (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc.)

  • Must be able to multi-task and perform with a high level of energy

  • High comfort level working in a diverse environment

  • Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

  • Experience with Sage 100 is a plus

  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel required
