Deloitte GPS SLHE Capture Executive in Memphis, Tennessee

Deloitte's Government and Public Services (GPS) Sales Excellence team seeks an experienced Capture Executive with deep experience driving, shaping, and capturing large, complex deals in the State Government and Higher Education markets.

Description

This position is established to lead teams to shape, position and solution differentiated tactics and approaches for large ($75M+) government acquisitions. It is part of a multi-disciplinary team that is focused on "Driving to Win" by melding business, management, technical and cost elements to position for complex pursuits and offer strategies for winning proposals. This position is responsible for driving capture and proposal readiness from positioning and shaping efforts, to development and implementation of win strategies, through pre-Request for Proposal (RFP) activities, and continuing through written/oral proposal development. It provides leadership, critical thought, and a customer-focused mindset to winning business opportunities, as well as collaborate within account team, market offerings, and pursuit team members key to achieving business and financial goals. Lastly, but importantly, this position is expected to effectively build relationships across Deloitte's matrixed organization to execute the capture strategy, and build trust and consensus across diverse pursuit team members.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 10 years combined experience with the following: strategic capture, capture leadership, opportunity shaping, proposal development, solutions development, and/or costing and pricing.

  • Minimum 5 years with serving in a capture manager, or equivalent role, developing and leading multiple capture efforts that have won major contracts.

  • Experience with capture for complex solutions such as Application Management Services, Cyber Security Operations, Business Process Outsourcing, IT Outsourcing, Cloud and/or Data Center Ops, Contact Center Management, Analytics, Program Integrity, Human Capital, Enterprise Performance, or Organizational Transformation.

  • Bachelor's degree.

  • Ability to travel 25-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the pursuit teams you are responsible for managing

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

  • Proven track record of successful capture and proposal management on $75M+ bids

Desirable Qualities:

  • Ability to work with people at all levels, including senior executives

  • Ability to influence others, from staff to senior leaders through a strong presence, thoughtful challenges, and use of sound judgement

  • Strong interpersonal and political skills, including aptitude for building relationships, understanding team dynamics, taking initiative, and solving problems

  • Familiarity with industry standard pursuit and proposal development methodologies

  • Ability to listen and quickly grasp ideas to be reflected in written documents and presentations

  • Ability to Coach and mentor pursuit team members

  • Ability to read situations and adapt leadership style to achieve results

  • Ability to work with poise and efficiency in a demanding, deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to manage multiple teams simultaneously

  • Ability to take initiative and problem-solve with diverse groups of people

  • Attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills

  • Ability to analyze information and make sound observations and recommendations quickly

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,900 to $268,700.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
