Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Exception in the industry, based in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. As an Exception, you will be responsible for managing a team dedicated to the administration of sales compensation programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, compliance with legal standards, and effective motivation and retention of top sales talent.
Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of professionals in the administration and management of sales compensation plans, including incentive structures, commissions, and bonuses
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of sales compensation data, maintaining program integrity and compliance with legal and company standards
• Analyze sales performance and compensation data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement, aiding in the formulation of data-driven recommendations for program enhancements
• Foster relationships with external vendors, participating in industry benchmarking to deliver competitive compensation packages
• Develop and present detailed reports on compensation outcomes, sales performance, and program effectiveness to senior leadership
• Communicate compensation strategies clearly to internal stakeholders, ensuring understanding and alignment with business objectives
• Provide training to the sales team and managers on the sales compensation program
• Ensure that sales compensation practices comply with all applicable labor laws, company policies, and regulatory standards
• Lead initiatives to streamline compensation administration processes, improve efficiency, and implement new tools and technologies for better tracking, reporting, and payment of commissions. Requirements • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for this role.
• Proven sales experience, with the ability to engage and influence customers.
• Strong reporting abilities, with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating complex spreadsheets and formulas.
• Experience in training and developing staff members.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Knowledge of compliance regulations within the industry.
• Demonstrated ability in planning processes and implementing improvements.
• Experience in human resources administration, including hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
• Design skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetic.
• Proven supervising experience, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Solid understanding of finance principles and financial reporting.
• Auditing experience, with the ability to identify inconsistencies and discrepancies.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with a focus on team building and staff development.
• Knowledge of best practices within the industry.
• Experience in optimization strategies to improve efficiency and performance.
• Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to draw insights from complex data sets.
• Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to identify and rectify discrepancies in processes or reports.
• Proven collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Knowledge of best practices in the industry and the ability to implement these in the workplace.
• Experience in KPI reporting, with the ability to track and report on key performance indicators.
• Familiarity with company policies and the ability to implement and enforce these.
• Experience in compensation administration, including salary benchmarking and benefits administration.
• Knowledge of risk management principles and the ability to implement effective risk management strategies.
