Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Memphis, Tennessee

Description We are in search of a Desktop Support Analyst to join our team based in Memphis, Tennessee. This role is pivotal in providing user support, incident management, problem-solving, and maintaining the security compliance of our IT infrastructure. Your contribution will help in the efficient operation of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to users, addressing issues related to hardware, software, networking, and other computer-related technologies.

• Log all help desk interactions, track issue progress, and escalate unresolved issues to higher-level technical teams.

• Utilize problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, ensuring minimal downtime for users.

• Maintain detailed documentation of user queries, steps taken to resolve them, and the final outcome.

• Assist in the installation of new software applications and configure systems and applications as per company policies and user requirements.

• Educate users on efficient use of system hardware and software, providing tips and tricks to prevent future issues.

• Ensure compliance with company security policies in all interactions and interventions, assist in maintaining the security of the IT infrastructure, and report any breaches.

• Monitor system performance, identify and report issues that could impact system efficiency or user productivity.

• Work with Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, Computer Hardware, Database, Dell Technologies, Active Directory, Apple Devices, Backup Technologies, and Configuration Management. Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role or similar IT support role

• Proficient knowledge of Cisco Technologies

• Familiarity with Citrix Technologies

• Strong understanding of Computer Hardware

• Experience with Database management

• Knowledge of Dell Technologies

• Proficiency in Active Directory

• Experience with Apple Devices

• Knowledge of Backup Technologies

• Experience in Configuration Management

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent customer service skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
