This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week at one of the following Corporate Office Locations: St. Petersburg, FL, Southfield, MI, Memphis, TN, or Denver, CO

Job Summary:

Using business driven requirements, plans and designs enterprise systems supporting the Digital Workplace end user computing environment including the implementation of hardware and software products and testing technology solutions. Monitors the day to day performance of the infrastructure and may work with project teams on the integration of new systems. Creates strategies and develops resolutions for complex problems, incidents, and outage situations. Primary focus will be towards the Citrix Virtualization environment supporting a non-persistent virtual desktop deployment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes system requirements, including identifying interactions and appropriate interfaces between affected components and sub systems.

  • Proactively plans capacity of platforms and applications.

  • Obtains and evaluates information on factors such as reporting formats required, costs, and security needs to determine software and hardware configuration.

  • Participates in software system testing and validation procedures, programming and documentation.

  • May participate in projects including preparing project plans, assigning tasks, monitoring statuses, coordinating efforts, validating team recommendations, integrating efforts into a comprehensive strategy and delivering results on time.

  • Writes and/or reviews system specifications, including output requirements, flow charts and technical diagrams.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Knowledge of the following strongly preferred (depending on assigned area):

  • IP network design practices and principles with emphasis on end user compute

  • Citrix NetScaler configuration and administration

  • Competency in developing highly secure solutions with Citrix technologies i.e. NetScaler, CVAD, and MCS

  • Windows Server and Workstation Operating Systems.

  • Hardware configurations and components for desktops and servers.

  • Security best practices for client and server systems including Windows and macOS platforms.

  • System monitoring and event analysis.

  • Virtualization concepts and technologies including Citrix, VMware, and Application layering

  • Citrix Cloud, Azure VDI, W365

  • Familiar with Storage Area Networks and Cloud storage solutions

  • Operating systems, management tools, 3rd party solutions, and hardware (desktops and servers) including Windows and macOS.

  • Server/desktop image creation and related processes and procedures.

  • 3rd level support for resolution of compatibility and performance issues.

  • Server provisioning and monitoring using industry-leading management tools.

  • Automation platforms such as SCORCH and Resolve

Skill in:

  • PowerShell scripting

  • Automation

  • Network Fundamentals

  • Advanced troubleshooting with login performance, Group Policy, etc.

  • Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions.

  • Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.

  • Work a non-traditional schedule including on-call hours on a frequent or rotating basis.

Education/Previous Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree MIS, Computer Sciences or related degree and 0 to 2 years of relevant experience or a combination of education, training and experience.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Nice to have: Citrix CVAD and/or Citrix Networking, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals

  • CISSP or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
