Summary
Provides personal care assistance to patients under the direction of licensed personnel and/or Manager. Performs other duties as assigned. (Approved by discipline leads for use in Employee Health.)
Responsibilities
Performs direct patient care duties as assigned under the direction of licensed personnel.
Provides professional and timely customer service.
Triages phone calls and manages schedule for Employee Health clinic.
Provides for patient safety.
Performs day-to-day clerical tasks and related duties.
Participates in ongoing educational activities.
Completes assigned goals.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Minimum: Completion of approved nursing or medical assistant course.
Experience
Preferred: 1 year of phlebotomy experience. 1 year of medical experience.
Licensure, Registration, Certification
Minimum: Certified as a CMA by the National Certification Board (National Center for Competency Testing) or obtain within 6 months of hire date. BLS within 14 days of hire
Special Skills
Preferred: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Minimum: Computer literacy. Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
Training
Minimum: Must maintain certification.
