Baptist Memorial Analyst-NSA Recovery Review in Memphis, Tennessee
Summary
The NSA Analyst is responsible for identifying, tracking and analyzing issues related to the No Surprises Act. The analyst will be the BMHCC subject matter expert for NSA and responsible for all processing pertaining to NSA.
Responsibilities
Serves as the No Surprises Act (NSA) Subject Matter Expert
• Meets all deadlines associated with the NSA process
• Responsible for identifying all claims that qualify for the NSA Open Negotiation Notice process and coordinating with the Commercial AR Follow-Up leadership team to ensure the NSA Open Negotiations are handled in a timely and accurate manner
• Responsible for tracking all NSA claims in the Open Negotiation Notice phase
• Responsible for identifying all NSA Open Negotiations that qualify for the IDR Notice phase
• Responsible for preparing/batching all applicable claims in the NSA IDR Notice phase and coordinating with the Commercial AR Follow-Up leadership team to ensure the NSA IDR Notices are handled in a timely and accurate manner
• Responsible for coordinating with the System Director and Accounts Payable (AP) to submit the required IDR fees to the respective IDR Entity in a timely and accurate manner
• Responsible for reviewing and updating the NSA Tracker with all applicable updates
• Responsible for updating Epic using the appropriate NSA adjustment code(s) as IDR Decisions are received
• Responsible for auditing the NSA Tracker to ensure all applicable accounts are captured in the Epic NSA work queues
• Serves as the main point of contact for the IDR Entities and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) related to the NSA cases
• Responsible for preparing regular NSA reports for BMHCC Revenue Cycle Leadership
• Demonstrates the ability to evaluate and maintain the proper level of data integrity within the NSA Tracker and applicable documents
• Demonstrates proficiency with all System financial information systems and all software used to analyze the information
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Minimum Required
One (1) year of previous revenue cycle experience in a healthcare or insurance setting.
Minimum Required
Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Special Skills
Minimum Required
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
