Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Memphis, Tennessee

Description We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. The position will involve managing the financial and administrative tasks of our company, which primarily includes processing invoices related to branch operations and jobs. This role is essential in maintaining our financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial department.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase order invoices and other invoices related to the branch operations and jobs efficiently.

• Verify invoices for accurate sales tax treatment and coordinate with vendors for any discrepancies.

• Collaborate with operations personnel to properly account for all invoices.

• Engage with vendors to reconcile past dues and ensure all payments are up to date.

• Reconcile vendor statements to Accounts Payable ledger to maintain accurate financial records.

• Answer phones professionally and greet visitors, providing excellent customer service.

• Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical, to ensure easy access to financial documents.

• Make online payments to various vendors in a timely manner.

• Use software tools such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for data entry and invoice processing.

• Perform account reconciliation tasks to ensure the accuracy of financial data. Requirements • Proficient in Account Reconciliation, with the ability to match and balance all financial transactions accurately.

• Previous experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is essential, with the ability to manage, organize, and process vendor invoices.

• Familiarity with Check Runs, ensuring all checks are run and sent out timely.

• Experience in Coding Invoices, accurately assigning the correct codes to each invoice.

• Proficiency in Data Entry, with the ability to input data accurately and efficiently.

• Experience in Invoice Processing, ensuring all invoices are processed and paid in a timely manner.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create spreadsheets, use advanced formulas, and present data visually.

• Familiarity with Oracle, with the ability to use the software for various financial functions.

• Proficient in QuickBooks, with the ability to manage all financial transactions and reports.

• Knowledge of SAP, with the ability to use the software for managing business operations and customer relations.
