Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Melville, New York

Description We are in search of a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Real Estate Property/Facilities Management industry, located in MELVILLE, New York. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and is office-based with no exceptions. As a Customer Service Representative, you will handle a variety of tasks related to customer service, document management, and communication.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process customer applications related to our real estate properties and facilities

• Manage and maintain detailed and accurate customer records

• Handle customer inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring high customer satisfaction

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when needed

• Handle a substantial amount of paperwork, demonstrating strong organizational skills

• Multitask effectively to ensure smooth operations and meet deadlines

• Manage voice mail messages and email correspondence to maintain effective communication with customers

• Utilize Word Documents for various tasks including data entry and document creation

• Generate notification letters for customers as needed

• Regularly check and manage the phone queue system to ensure timely response to customer queries. Requirements • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the real estate or facilities management industry

• Proficiency in managing paper filing systems efficiently and accurately

• Ability to handle voicemail messages in a professional and timely manner

• Excellent skills in managing email correspondence, with a focus on maintaining high standards of professionalism and prompt response times

• Proficiency in creating, editing, and managing Word documents

• Experience in drafting and sending notification letters to clients and other stakeholders

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle customer complaints and queries effectively

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of real estate industry standards and practices would be advantageous

• Basic computer skills, including competence in using Microsoft Office Suite

• Willingness to learn and adapt to new software and technologies relevant to the role

• High school diploma or equivalent education level; further education in a relevant field would be advantageous.
