Description

Corporate Controller opportunity available with leading Long Island company. Dynamic company seeks an individual accustomed to hands-on leadership within a complex corporate environment. Your role will have you responsible for Reporting, Accounting Policy and Procedure, Budgeting, M& A, oversight of Treasury and Tax, as well as acting as liaison with external tax/audit/insurance/banking partners. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a candidate, ideally possessing an MBA and CPA, who is skilled in consolidated financial statements and external reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee all aspects of the auditing and budgeting processes

• Prepare consolidated financial statements and manage external reporting

• Conduct due diligence and manage acquisition integration for mergers and acquisitions

• Oversee intercompany accounting and ensure compliance with US GAAP

• Develop and implement strategies for financial growth and sustainability

• Analyze and present financial reports to company leadership

• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve financial efficiency

• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and changes in business practices

• Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities

• Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Ideally 5+ years of experience in a Corporate Controller level role

• MBA & /or CPA preferred

• Demonstrated expertise in Auditing, Budget Processes, and Consolidated Financial Statements

• Proficiency in External Reporting, Due Diligence, and Acquisition Integration

• Familiarity with Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) and Intercompany Accounting

• Comprehensive knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)

• Excellent listening and communication skills; collaborative mindset

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to oversee, guide and mentor a team

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite

• Must demonstrate high ethical standards and integrity in all work-related actions.
