Description:

Provides quality indirect patient care by providing technical support to the anesthesia providers and the surgical team. Ensures anesthesia equipment and supplies are in a state of readiness.

Provides technical support to the anesthesia providers and the surgical team. Following proper

procedures in setting up of transducers. Timeliness in providing required equipment. Following proper procedures in stocking and cleaning of anesthesia carts and

equipment. Has an understanding of the operation of equipment

used in anesthesia. Provide supplies and equipment as needed

during surgical procedures to the anesthesia provider. Completes the

anesthesia turnover between cases, not delaying the start of the

following procedures. Assists the anesthesia providers in difficult

airways, trauma case and as needed. Provides the needed

equipment and supplies used in the remote anesthesia locations in the

hospital.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma

Preferred: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education

Minimum Experience Required : Less than one year of previous job-related experience

Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Licensure/Certifications Required:

Basic Life Support (CPR)

Preferred: Other: Certification as an Anesthesia Technician is preferred.
