The Opportunity:
CACI is currently seeking a Quality Engineer. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team. This position is located at our facility in Melbourne, Florida, with some overnight travel to our Fairfax, Virginia, facility, and occasional travel to suppliers in support of Supplier Quality.
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for support to our production and R&D operations at CAC facilities. The candidate will work closely with program management, production management, and manufacturing engineering to support documentation, implementation, evaluation, and improvements for manufacturing and assembly efforts to ensure customer satisfaction, optimal product quality, and compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100D and other established customer requirements. The candidate will support continual improvement efforts of the quality inspection and verification processes ensuring product and test conformity. The candidate will support management in cross-functional decisions to plan, execute, and communicate process changes which improve manufacturing methods to increase efficiency, ensure safety, improve quality, and lower production costs. The candidate will support the creation of work instructions in support of production processes, determining the value-added points for CTQs with minimal impact to process flow while ensuring product conformity. The candidate will work to implement continuous process improvements regarding safety, quality, process time, and cost savings. The candidate will support inspection and process plan development and execution, as well as participation in the development and review of project documentation. The candidate may have other duties as assigned by management in support of quality, manufacturing and/or engineering services.
Qualifications:
Ability to obtain an DoD SECRET security clearance, due to contract requirement
Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in quality engineering
Desired:
Active TS/SCI clearance
Six Sigma or Lean accreditation
Experience with supporting First Article Inspection (FAI) efforts
Experience in the various aspects of a structured MRB process
Experience in a structured RMA process
Experience with CAPA
Experience tracking Key Process Indicators (KPI)s
Experience developing metrics, tracking, and analysis
Certified ASQ Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified ASQ Quality Auditor (CQA)
Good organizational, inter-personnel and written communication skills
Experience with IM&TE (inspection, measurement, and test equipment) quality of program implementation in a manufacturing environment
Experience in establishing, collecting, maintaining, and analyzing data collection and performance metrics to track performance in key areas
Experience with CAD systems (Catia, ProE, Solidworks, AutoCAD), LabVIEW, Jira, VISIO, Excel

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$59,100 - $124,100
