Health First Provider Recruiter in Melbourne, Florida

*POSITION SUMMARY *

The Physician Recruiter will function as part of the Talent Acquisition team in supporting the Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) who is passionate about sourcing providers and advanced practitioners while creating a positive recruitment experience for leaders and candidates alike.

The Physician Recruiter will be responsible for identifying, attracting, and selecting providers, APPs and APRNs who will provide care for our associates, patients and overall community.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITES

  • Prospect candidates utilizing tools such as PracticeMatch, PracticeLink, cold calling, company website, database sourcing, internet, journals, medical associations, mass mailings and referrals. Obtain references, query the National Practitioner Data Bank, research social media details and ensure that candidates meet Health First professional standards.
  • Ensure recruitment strategy compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, policies and procedures, and internal goals. Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant employment laws, regulations, policies, procedures and standards.
  • Oversee the full life cycle of recruitment for physicians/providers and advanced practitioners. Source and coordinate the onboarding of locums. Participate in locum provider scheduled meetings for hospitals to ensure that all schedules are adequately covered.
  • Makes recommendations on advertising placement, direct mail and related tactics based on cost and effectiveness. Manage applicant database to effectively track and follow-up on all sourced candidates, initial screening interviews, and scheduling of initial on-site interviews.
  • Effectively partners with Marketing to determine appropriate advertising channels to source provider candidates and to create and update collateral for each channel on a timely basis.
  • Develop employment advertisement, direct mail pieces and other related marketing tactics working with Health First Marketing and outside agencies
  • Assess individual recruiting plans per each requisition’s specific requirements. Monitors the credentialing process to expedite the onboarding experience. Interviews applicants, recommends candidates for further phone and/or on-site interviews and/or employment/placement.
  • Manage the effective scheduling of candidates related to their recruitment visits including providing a tour of area and Health First facilities. Coordinates appointments/interviews with key decision-makers involved in the selection process.
  • Educate candidates via phone and in-person, as to the Health First compensation/bonus structure and contract specifics including employment details.
  • Inform physician candidates of practice/hospital locations, practice details, compensation, benefits, and malpractice details. Extend offers of employment in partnership with Director of HFMG Provider Service.
  • Participates in employment negotiations and extends offers of employment after approval from Director. Explains contract requirements, benefits to candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Interaction with multiple levels of the organization from executive leadership to staff level employees. Develop rapport and establish strong working relationships with diverse candidates. Initiate follow-up calls with candidates regarding their applications and other required employment paperwork.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • *Education: *Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Sales
  • Work Experience:Eight (8) years’ experience in physician recruitment.

  • Certification: Medical Staff Recruiter Certificate through the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR) OR Certified Health Care Recruiter (CHCR) through National Association for Health Care Recruitment (NAHCR)
  • Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:Knowledge of the medical community and hospital environments

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Majority of time involves sitting or standing; occasional walking, bending, stooping.
  • Long periods of computer time or at workstation.
  • Light work that may include lifting or moving objects up to 20 pounds with or without assistance.
  • May be exposed to inside environments with varied temperatures, air quality, lighting and/or low to moderate noise.

  • Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination to perform tasks.
  • Workspace may vary from open to confined; on site or remote.
  • May require travel to various facilities within and beyond county perimeter; may require use of personal vehicle.
