Job Description:

Oversee and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring they meet client specifications, budget, and timeline. Develop and review detailed mechanical designs, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, using software like AutoCAD and Revit. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, architects, and construction teams to ensure integrated and efficient designs. Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, such as ASHRAE standards and local building codes. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and educational work environment. Communicate with clients to understand their needs, present design solutions, and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

• Experience: Extensive experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in MEP design, with a proven track record of leading projects

• Skills: Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant tools; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and leadership abilities

• Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or other relevant certifications is a plus but not required

Work Environment:

The company has 4 offices, with 50-60 people located in the Arvada office. The other offices are in Colorado Springs, St. Petersburg, and Melbourne, FL. Founded in 1994, the company is an MEP engineering, technology, and life safety firm that works across several markets, including Healthcare, Higher Education, Industrial, K-12, Historic Renovation, Hospitality, Labs, Municipal, Master Planning, Residential, and Transportation. The role may require site visits, necessitating occasional travel by car or plane.
