Amazon Training Coordinator, Delivery Services Learning and Talent Development in Melbourne, Australia

We currently have a vacancy for a Learning Coordinator to join the Amazon Australia Team. We are looking for a dynamic, organised self-starter to join our Learning team as a Coordinator in our Melbourne Sort Centre in Craigburn.

This position within the Sort Centre (SC), reporting to the Regional Learning Manager, will manage and work with the Ambassador team to deliver high standards of training to our new and existing associate work force. The suitable applicant will be trained in both the standard work and tools used within the learning function. You will be a strong communicator, who values teamwork, and who can function as a role model and engage professionally with the entire SC workforce.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and assess a multitude of training programs for both new and experienced associates.

• Perform data entry including creating, entering and updating training rosters.

• Lead & Support Learning Ambassadors in their roles in delivering training and coaching to associates.

• Assist in evaluating and monitoring training efforts throughout the SC.

• Ability to learn processes quickly and become a subject-matter expert in new processes.

• Problem Solving responsibilities: react quickly and productively, serving as a resource for specific problems and undertaking the appropriate steps to resolve.

• Complete understanding of the safety procedures in the SC to ensure that associates are operating safely and take immediate corrective action where necessary.

• Ensure compliance with audits and refresher/one point change training.

• Complete all standard work and assigned tasks on time and to standard expectation.

• Ensure area readiness and area organisation for all learning areas and training locations to ensure they are prepared to support all training activities.

• Spend a minimum of 5 hours per week in a process path (rotate through paths) to maintain proficiency and identify associate barriers.

Basic Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent

  • 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

  • Knowledge Management of Process Training or Learning and Development Experience.

  • Basic leadership skills and coaching and mentoring experience.

  • Ability to clearly communicate complex information and to effectively motivate small and large groups

  • Conversant in basic learning principles and methodologies, and their practical applications.

  • Can lift up to 25kg, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with LMS (Learning Management System) and LRS (Learning Record Store) tools.

  • Experience with basic instructional design and content design tools.

  • Knowledge & experience in performance evaluation and driving metrics.

  • Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
