We are seeking motivated individual looking to take the next step in their Electrical Engineering career to work on water and wastewater infrastructure projects based in our Melbourne office. Our projects span the lifecycle of project delivery from feasibility studies through to detailed design packages, as well as the assessment and upgrading of existing assets.

About the role:

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our water group in Melbourne. In a close-knit and growing local office in Melbourne, you will be part of the much larger, national ground engineering team working with experienced team members and clients, your role would have you involved in exciting and diverse projects in a range of water infrastructure projects.

Day to day tasks would involve:

  • Manage and lead electrical engineering design assignments and projects.

  • Work as a team with other engineering disciplines and professionals to deliver multi-disciplinary engineering projects under the direction of a senior design manager.

  • Preparing electrical designs, drawings, specifications, presentations and reports, and gather information to support design decisions.

  • Use knowledge of general concepts of electrical engineering elements through investigation and analysis, to support electrical engineering projects and direct junior engineers.

  • Perform and review of calculations to analyse and design electrical system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.

  • Interpretation and verification of compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards and practices.

  • Providing support services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.

  • Perform field work related to construction related activities as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by your people leader.

To be successful for this role you'll need:

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BE)

  • Between 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar position with well-rounded experience in on Water and Waste Water projects.

  • Prior consulting skills to liaise with clients and other stakeholders to achieve mutually successful project outcomes is highly regarded

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering, with relevant professional experience in the water and wastewater industry.
