Job Description
Our Energy Team are seeking an experienced Transmission Line Engineer to join our team based in Melbourne or Adelaide. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and delivery of complex transmission line projects across Australia.
What will a day in this role look like:
Lead and manage transmission line engineering projects through the entire project lifecycle including; assessment of greenfield and brownfield transmission line projects, transmission line route selection and optimization, tower spotting, tower geometry design, foundation design, conductor and insulator assessment.
Develop and review detailed engineering designs, calculations and specifications for transmission line systems (up to 500kV) and related projects. This includes the preparation and presentation of technical reports and proposals.
Provide technical guidance and support to; junior engineers and team members to assist with their professional development and provide construction support to the client and contractors on a variety of projects.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers on a variety of major projects, to ensure project alignment and successful execution
Use your technical experience and local knowledge to ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations and safety requirements.

What are we looking for from you?
Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Civil or Structural) ideally with 10 + years of relevant experience in transmission line engineering either for a consultancy or client-side.
In-depth understanding of industry standard software such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE and TOWER
Strong understanding of local utility and national overhead line standards and guidelines.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at varying levels of seniority.
RPEV/RPEQ / CPEng (or working towards) – highly desirable
