About The Douglas Club

The Douglas Club is an intimate cocktail bar in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Set in a heritage listed building, The Douglas Club will merge the luxury and glamour from the 1930’s golden age of travel with modern design and technology.

What will I be doing?

• Be operationally hands on and lead by example
• Create and serve a wide range of beverages including classic cocktails, mixers, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages
• Contribute to menu content, assist the Bar Manager with developing menu changes and promotional activities
• Receive orders and serve guest requests
• Keep the service area clean, tidy and well-prepared
• Efficiently manage the proper settlement of all guest accounts.
• Answer guest queries in a professional, polite and helpful manner

What are we looking for?

• Ability to create classic and contemporary cocktails, spirits and wine knowledge
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a high-end bar
• A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
• Flexibility in hours as you will be working rostered shifts, especially on weekends
• Exceptional personal presentation and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and conflict
• Work efficiently under pressure
• Well-presented, organised, and have a positive nature
