Job Title: Reach Truck Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Reach Truck Operator with flexibility to work a variable schedule. Regular hours can range from 5AM to 6PM, and candidates must be willing to work significant overtime. The role involves operating a Reach Truck forklift in a minus 20-degree storage cooler, picking orders, and staging.

Responsibilities

• Operate Reach Truck forklift in a minus 20-degree storage cooler

• Pick orders accurately and efficiently

• Stage products for distribution

• Maintain safety standards and proper use of equipment

Essential Skills

• Experience operating Reach Truck forklifts

• Proficiency with Crown forklifts

• Ability to handle cold temperatures of minus 20 degrees

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• English and Spanish

Work Environment

The facility is a food distribution center located in Medley. The front area is kept at 40 to 45 degrees, while the back area, where Reach Truck Operators spend most of their time, is maintained at minus 20 degrees. The environment is fast-paced, especially during the peak season from July to November. Safety is a priority, and all employees must wear steel-toed boots and appropriate gear for the cold temperatures inside.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medley, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
