Description We are in search of a diligent Cost Accountant to join our team located in MEDINA, New York. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in supporting financial management aspects of our business. Your primary responsibilities will include performing financial close, providing manufacturing cost and variance analysis, and ensuring adequate internal controls are utilized, among other duties.

Responsibilities:

• Support financial management in all aspects of business

• Perform month-end financial close by recording manufacturing expenses, depreciation, taxes, and other overhead expenses

• Provide manufacturing cost and variance analysis

• Understand and communicate monthly financial results and key operating metrics to the Management Staff

• Produce daily, weekly, monthly reports for the Plant Manager and General Manager

• Ensure adequate internal controls exist and are utilized at the plant

• Assist local management in identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities

• Support divisional requirements such as internal/external audits

• Provide financial support for capital development projects from justification to approval to installation

• Assist in developing monthly forecasts and annual operating plan

• Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for multiple entities

• Maintain all fixed assets in the Fixed Asset System

• Assist in tracking product margins, cost reductions and new product programs

• Analyze inventory variances/transactions, plus inventory control cycle count programs once implemented

• Monitor cash flow and control weekly payments of vendors by check and electronic payments

• Review and code purchase orders to GL accounts

• Review and approve applications for new credit arrangements

• Monitor delinquent Accounts Receivable

• Report to Division HQ as needed

• May supervise accounting employees and receptionist – would include interviewing, hiring and training employees as well as directing work and performance appraisals. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems.

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions.

• Solid understanding of Accounting Functions.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP).

• Knowledge of Budget Processes.

• Expertise in Cost Accounting.

• Skills in Cost Analysis.

• Specialization in Manufacturing Cost Accounting.

• Proficiency in Standard Cost Accounting.

• Experience in Supervisory Management.

• Ability to provide Supervisory Oversight.

• Audit experience and knowledge.
