Anticipated initial assignment is Roy-Hart Learning Center, Gasport, NY. Please see the attached job description. The individual will provide consultation, transition support and staff development to BOCES and component district staff in order to meet the needs of students with behavioral and/or autism spectrum disorders. Prior experience in special education, to include experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders, is preferred. Knowledge of progressive teaching approaches to include Treatment and Education of Autistic and Related Communication Handicapped Children, (TEACCH), Applied Behavioral Analysis/Discrete Trial Therapy, Direct Instruction, and Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools (TCIS), is preferred. The individual must have or be eligible for appropriate certification upon hire. Regular attendance and dependability are required. Other responsibilities may be assigned. The assignment is subject to change.

Salary shall depend on qualifications and experience. For a candidate without permanent or professional teaching certification, the estimated (ten-month basis) annual salary range is $41,500 to $74,000. For a candidate with permanent or professional teaching certification, the estimated (ten-month basis) annual salary range is $46,500 to $94,205.
