The Support Services Manager is responsible for overseeing non-clinical services in the senior living community, ensuring smooth operations that enhance the quality of life for residents. This role encompasses leadership and management in areas such as housekeeping, dining services. The Support Services Manager collaborates with other departments to provide a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for residents and staff.
Your work will include:
Operational Oversight:
Supervise housekeeping, laundry, dining, and transportation teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Coordinate maintenance schedules to address resident needs promptly and ensure community upkeep.
Implement and monitor procedures to comply with regulatory standards and community policies.
Resident and Family Engagement:
Act as a point of contact for residents and families, addressing concerns related to support services promptly and effectively.
Conduct regular satisfaction surveys to gather feedback on non-clinical services and drive improvements.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and evaluate staff to maintain a high-performing team.
Schedule and manage workloads for housekeeping, dining, and other support staff to ensure efficient operations.
Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
Budget and Resource Management:
Manage departmental budgets and control expenses to align with organizational financial goals.
Oversee the procurement of supplies and equipment for support services while ensuring cost efficiency.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all support services comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Conduct routine inspections and audits to maintain high standards in cleanliness, safety, and service.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to align support services with overall community goals.
Communicate updates, policies, and procedures to staff and ensure consistent implementation.

Qualifications
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality industries.
Skills:
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational abilities.
Proficiency in budgeting and resource management.
Knowledge of applicable regulations in senior living or healthcare settings.
Commitment to providing exceptional customer service to residents and families.
Work Environment:
Requires flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet resident needs.
Must be able to lift/move up to 25 pounds and perform occasional physical tasks associated with support services.
