JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Brandywine's Enrollment Management Office is seeking an Enrollment Services Specialist to provide support for current and prospective students regarding financial aid and admissions. The Specialist primarily coordinates day to day operations of the office, provides support for admissions, financial aid, and the registrar, serves as the point-of-contact for admissions and student aid questions, and coordinates admissions and financial aid events.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of working effectively with students from all cultural and economic backgrounds and be able to collaborate and build relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the point-of-contact for admissions and student aid questions

  • Provide general support for admissions, financial aid, and the registrar

  • Provide advice and guidance on the policies and procedures related to the admissions application and FAFSA

  • Troubleshoot admissions and financial aid problems and assist with aid verifications

  • Manage communications including phone, email, and mail

  • Coordinate admissions and financial aid events

  • Hire, train and manage student workers

  • Order supplies, manage inventory and pay invoices

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Experience with customer-relationship management (CRM) system, student information system, and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid is helpful. The successful candidate must possess:

  • Strong communication skills

  • The ability to explain complex instructions in an easy-to-understand manner

  • Experience in a professional environment working with the public

  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask

  • Commitment to teamwork

  • Strong time-management and organizational skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

This position requires an associate degree or higher plus 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in higher education preferred.

This position requires successful completion of the following background checks:

  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check

  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form

  • Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check

This position offers a flexible work arrangement that combines remote and on-campus work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$42,100.00 - $61,000.00
