The growing Business Consulting Services practice is a collaborative group that is committed to providing superior client service through strong relationships and high value deliverables. We are currently seeking a Construction and Real Estate Consulting Senior will be expected to perform construction and real estate contract review services, program assessments, control reviews and related risk analysis, change order verification, and program policy and procedure reviews. In this role you will be responsible for applying industry specific knowledge to all construction and real estate projects including benchmarking against industry best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of analysis, identifying areas or highest risk to achievement of client goals

  • Reviews documentation and conducts interviews necessary to evaluate processes and controls designed to manage high-risk areas

  • Performs consulting activities that include documenting, testing, and analyzing client business processes to improve bottom line results

  • Prepares effective written reports and supports findings with proper documentation

  • Works collaboratively with clients to understand current business practices, identify opportunities for improvement, define new processes, and develop new/updated policies and procedures

  • Reviews project and program progress, performance metrics and cost reports, assist with assessments of new compliance and or best practice standards

  • Works on other types of audits primarily for government clients (e.g. contract, internal controls, compliance, operations, and performance)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in Business, Accounting, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Engineering, Real Estate, or Construction Management preferred

  • CPA, CIA, CFE or CCA certification preferred

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in internal audit, contract audit, construction and lease contract auditing, project controls, or related field

  • Basic knowledge of accounting concepts and Audit Command Language (ACL) preferred

  • Experience with data analysis, and risk-based business process focused audit approaches preferred

  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail and accuracy Click here to enter text

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 15%

Compensation Range (Denver Market ONLY): Washington State: $75,000 -$132,000; California State: $80,000 -$151,000; Colorado State: $75,000 -$125,000
