JOB SUMMARY

Job Profile Summary

Supervise and direct employees in activities related to compiling, analyzing, preparing, and presenting regional budget, forecast, and accounting reporting and procedures.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct employees performing activities related to:

  • Accounting reports

  • Budget preparation

  • Forecasting

  • Variance reporting

  • Expenditure Audits

  • Advise and assist employees, managers, and others on matters related to regional budgeting and reporting, accounting principles, policies and procedures, account classification, and statistical information

  • Analyze and /or compare actual performance compared to estimated expenditures

  • Perform calculations and/or analyses including but not limited to:

  • Interest (Specified by Position)

  • Financial ratios

  • Projections/forecasts

  • Variances

  • Overheads

  • Customer Projections (Specified by Position)

  • Expenditure audits

  • Payroll allocations

  • Accounting reports

  • Compile, verify, prepare, and/or approve information related but not limited to:

  • Forecasted versus actual expenses

  • Statistical information and reports

  • Staff reports

  • Correspondence

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job related experience:

Work Experience

  • Experience with and thorough knowledge of policies and procedures related to accounting methods, practices, procedures, and budgeting

  • Experience in use and function of office equipment applicable to position, including computers and applicable software

  • Experience training, directing, and supervising; demonstrated ability to apply personnel policies and procedures

  • Experience reading and interpreting manuals, reports, budgets, governmental rules, and regulations. Contracts, correspondence, and account information

  • Experience researching, composing, and preparing reports, budgets, financial information, and correspondence

  • Experience leading, directing, and/or supervising; interacting, advising, training, and communicating effectively

  • Experience developing information and making presentations to groups and individuals

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to: apply math and algebraic formulas

  • Ability to: personnel policies and procedures

  • Ability to: communicate and/or exchange verbal and written information and instructions; conduct oral presentations

Expected Salary Range

$71,000.00 - $107,000.00
