Naval Supply Systems Command SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania
Summary You will serve as a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST of CNSSC FLD DET MECH PA. Responsibilities You will plan, develop and implement long-range, intermediate and short-term supply chain management goals in support of designated business process. You will be responsible for defining integrated supply chain management plans, recommending innovative solutions for possible application to Navy programs/systems and assist in the development of findings and recommendations. You will support supply chain or process owners to ensure compliance with set processes, policies and procedures. You will develop, establish and implement NAVSUP supply chain policy and procedures. You will collaborate with technical experts across NAVSUP and the Hardware Systems Commands to ensure understanding of commercial off the shelf software, as well as, gain mastery knowledge of new software packages and tools. You will apply business processes within the Department of Navy Logistics Information Technology portfolio and the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For GS-13 : Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying expert knowledge of inventory, logistics, and supply chain management and knowledge of supply operations management policies, business process analysis methodologies, concepts, practices, and principles in order to analyze and develop solutions for problems to ensure continued effective support is provided to customers at the ashore, afloat, and depot maintenance facilities. You have experience analyzing and researching various automated supply systems in order to improve quality and performance of the supply program by adapting and/or applying evolving technology. Specialized experience must demonstrate: 1) Expert knowledge of end to end supply chain management concepts, principles, policies, and business processes specific to supply and demand planning; 2) Developing strategies and procedures to improve Navy LOGIT systems (Ex.NAVY ERP); 3) Developing reports, metrics, and other data deliverables while utilizing database tools such as SAS to drive program recommendations and improvements; 4)Ability to provide clear and concise information via oral or written communication to various stakeholders including Echelon I and Echelon II mission partners and NAVSUP leadership.
