Our client, a multinational consumer goods company is seeking a Manufacturing/Packaging Quality Assurance Inspector to join their team. As a Quality Assurance Inspector, you will be part of the Custom Manufacturing department. The ideal candidate will a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and be a team player which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Quality Assurance Inspector

Location: Mechanicsburg, PA 17055

Pay Rate: $24.35/hour

What’s the Job?

  • Inspect and sample materials, parts, or products for defects and any deviations from specifications.

  • Operate strictly to Standard Work and Quality processes to ensure a "Right First Time" product to the customer.

  • Works with Supervisor to ensure all employees are trained to follow current work instructions and adheres to Quality Control Plan and related SOP's

  • Performs and documents hourly quality check procedures throughout the day and audits line lead's documentation to ensure compliance with any required guidelines.

  • Using our Loadproof System, documents inspection results by completing logs and taking photos.

  • Work with production supervisors to ensure that only quality products are produced.

  • Assist in sorting, counting, and packaging materials, when necessary.

  • Operates line equipmnet (i.e. labelers, case formers, tape machines, shrink bundling equipment and case packers) requiring starting/stopping equipment and clearing jams.

  • Report quality issues to the TRM/ Operations Manager to find resolution.

  • Completes first unit inspection of samples, submitted by line lead.

  • Perform related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to read and understand Bill or Materials, Manufacturing Instructions, and SOPs. Monitor or observe operations to ensure that they meet Quality standards. Recommend adjustments to the process or assembly.

  • Knowledge of Safety and Good Manufacturing Procedures

  • Excellent Communication and leadership skills

  • Great organizational skills and an eye for detail

  • Ability to train employees, when needed

  • Work effectively in a team based work environment.

  • Ability to stand or walk for an entire 8-hour shift

  • Skill in using a computer and a variety of software, including Microsoft Office.
