MD Anderson Cancer Center Postdoctoral Fellow - Bioinformatics & Comp Biology in Houston, Texas

The primary purpose of this position is to develop the data analytic capacities to support major initiatives related to translational research to the Translational Molecular pathology-Immunoprofiling Laboratory Moonshot platform. The postdoc will apply and develop software tools to assist in performing data analysis in cancer research. This position works as a member of an interdisciplinary team to discover and disseminate knowledge for enhancing cancer research and patient management. The candidate will be expected to provide original (first author) contribution to data analytical expertise for research projects involving data obtained from spatial transcriptomic assays, including GeoMx Nanostring Digital Spatial Profiling, Visium, or single-cell resolution in situ transcriptomic platforms. The successful candidate will participate in cross-functional research for different types of cancer analysis by working closely with research teams across departmental and platform groups and serving as a resource for faculty and staff.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.

POSITION INFORMATION

MD Anderson follows the NIH stipend levels as outlined by the Kirchstein - NRSA (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-23-076.html) . This full-time trainee position will provide a salary between $56,484 to $68,604, dependent upon the years of postgraduate experience.
