Personnel Staffers, Inc. Claims Representative in MCMURRAY, Pennsylvania

Claims Representative -- Insurance Administration Department -- for our client in Imperial. Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and 7:45 AM to 12:30 PM. $18.00 per hour.  Temp-to-Hire. Will be working in proprietary software. Client will train. Position is required to do a lot of note taking and requires legible handwriting.

Responsibilities:

  • Process claims
  • Prepare documents to be sent to beneficiaries for life insurance policies and annuities
  • Review claim information that was received by mail, email, fax and in person
  • Correspond with beneficiaries, funeral homes, attorneys, etc. regarding missing forms or information
  • Prepare claim payment letters
  • Prepare and balance IRS 1099-R Forms, and IRS 5498 Forms, for Annuity Death Claims
  • Prepare monthly, and quarterly, reports of claims processed
  • Review daily and Monthly Reports and take action as needed from reports
  • Prepare claim files for audits conducted by in-house auditors, company auditors and state auditors
  • Assist with mailing projects and testing projects, etc.
  • Answer and transfer incoming calls within the office
  • Greet members when they enter the main lobby to ensure they meet with the appropriate department representative for their needs.

Qualifications:

  • Team player, great at multitasking, and can handle occasional fast paced times with ease
  • Word and Excel skills required
  • Mature, professional individual with customer service experience.
  • Very detail oriented
  • Organized
