The Intelligence Analysis Mission Integration Department (N442) is seeking a systems engineer to support our counterintelligence mission within the National Intelligence Program. The Mission Integration Department develops strategies, policies, technical analyses, and tools to enhance the nation’s counterintelligence, counter-insider threat, and counterproliferation mission sponsors. The work requires operating with the senior levels of government, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the Intelligence Community, particularly the partners and stakeholders in the counterintelligence mission.

Roles and Responsibilities:

This position involves providing direct support to fast-paced cross-agency information technology (IT) design efforts. The role will have varied components, ranging from direct engagement with sponsor government leadership, coordinating with other contractor support both inside and outside of the sponsor environment, as well as working closely with other MITRE experts working in this mission space. Qualified candidates will have significant demonstrated experience on building IT capabilities; coordinating and collaborating with multi-discipline teams; providing strategic oversight, system planning/road mapping, and technical leadership; and working directly with senior government leadership. The position involves extensive collaboration across the U.S. government and requires experience working with multiple Agencies, Departments, and external partners to develop and implement IT capabilities. A current active U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Candidate must have an active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with current polygraph.

  • 10 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.

  • 10 years of experience building new IT capabilities and prototypes inside and outside the government classified network, drafting requirements, system design/architecting, and system planning/road mapping including cloud-based environments.

  • 5 years of experience in collaborating and coordinating with both government leaders and contractors inside and across multiple organizations.

  • 5 years of experience providing technical advice and guidance on IT solutions including cloud-based environments.

  • 5 years of implementation experience in one or more cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, etc.)

  • 5 years of experience coordinating and collaborating with multi-discipline teams.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • At least 5 years’ demonstrated experience supporting the Intelligence and/or National Defense Communities.

  • This position requires a minimum of 5 days a week on-site.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in a technical (e.g., Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) field.

  • 5 years of experience providing technical input to the government acquisition process.
