Robert Half Project Coordinator/Manager - Capital Project Construction in Mclean, Virginia

Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Project Coordinator or Manager - Capital Project Construction to join our team in McLean, Virginia. This role is pivotal in managing multiple international construction projects, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare project management documents including site-level schedules, charters, and other necessary documentation.

• Coordinate with various stakeholders, including supply chain and procurement directors, for project updates and issues resolution.

• Monitor multiple construction project sites and maintain regular updates and schedules.

• Host weekly and ad hoc update meetings to ensure all stakeholders are updated about project status.

• Track changes, contracting, approvals, delays, and project closeout documents to ensure all project aspects are accounted for.

• Manage electronic file management and ensure all project-related documents are organized and easily accessible.

• Develop, track, and validate site-level project costs against budget to ensure financial efficiency.

• Handle proposal management and cost tracking to maintain financial transparency.

• Escalate identified issues, delays, and cost deviations promptly to avoid project derailment.

• Confirm receipt of all project closeout documents to ensure project completion is properly documented.

Requirements

• Candidate must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Project Management role, preferably within the field of Capital Project Construction.

• Proficiency in Cross-Functional Project Management is a must.

• Demonstrable experience managing Commercial Construction Projects is essential.

• Expertise in Project Closeout procedures is highly desirable.

• Ability to manage Project Cost effectively and efficiently.

• Experience in Ad Hoc Financial Analysis will be advantageous.

• Familiarity with Supplier Agreements and Proposal Management is needed.

• A deep understanding of the Global Supply Chain is required.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) highly preferred.
