As a Manager Solution Architect, you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the PEP Software Engineering team reporting to the Director Software Engineering PEP, you will support projects including solution architecture for the cloud-based property management system.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

• Work with Solution Engineering team to help build the strategic technical roadmap focused on the Property Management System and align work efforts in support of those goals.
• Provide technical leadership by performing feasibility analysis and identifying efficient solutions as part of the solution architecture process.
• Work with our Hilton cross-functional teams including Product, business, technology partners to understand business requirements and to translate it into system function and features.
• Identify gaps between requirements and implement solutions and help mitigate risks with the platform and our stakeholders.
• Guide large-scale, complex projects to align with program objectives while supporting application delivery.
• Provide technical documentation and convert concepts into solution documentation.
• Lead and manage the technical team, ensuring adherence to best practices and providing strategic technical guidance.
• Keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies in software development and find opportunities to incorporate new capabilities and techniques across our solutioning process.

How you will collaborate with others:

• Be an engaged member of a Software Engineering team that works closely with our cross-functional team members and identify areas of opportunities to provide the best, most optimal solution.
• Work with our Hilton technology stack partners to ensure successful integrations
• Use a customer-centric approach to influence, build, and manage the solutioning process working with business and Product teams.

What deliverables you will take ownership of:

• High-level architecture and detailed design of complex application features

WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

• Five (5) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
• Three (3) years of work experience developing, designing, and implementing complex scalable software solutions
• Two (2) years of experience in API management and integration
• Experience with integration across multiple technical areas
• Experience creating detailed documentation, including diagrams, design patterns, and technical specifications in Confluence or Jira
• Experience in MySQL database design and management.
• Solid knowledge of data monitoring tools (such as Splunk & Datadog)
• This is a hybrid role and would require to be near one of our three US office locations (McLean, Dallas, Memphis)
• Travel up to 10%

It would be useful if you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree, or Associate’s Degree plus 6 years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12 years of Technology related experience
• Seven (7) years of professional work experience in Technology or related field
• Five (5) years of work experience developing, designing and implementing complex scalable software solutions
• Experience with AWS Cloud Solutions
