Robert Half IT Project Manager in Mclean, Virginia

Description

We are looking for a remote IT Project Manager to join our team. This role involves managing and coordinating projects within the information technology department, overseeing all aspects of the projects, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities and monitoring the progress of the project. It also includes building and maintaining relationships with team members, vendors and other departments involved in the projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and completing projects within the information technology department

  • Updating Jira ticketing system for tracking changes and progress

  • Overseeing all aspects of projects, setting deadlines and assigning responsibilities

  • Monitoring progress of projects and summarizing their status

  • Building and maintaining working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects

  • Preparing reports for upper management regarding the status of the project

  • Understanding and applying a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures

  • Planning and accomplishing goals using limited experience and judgment

  • Leading and directing the work of others

  • Applying creativity and latitude in accomplishing tasks

  • Managing the quality assurance of the projects.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience in application development project management or leading roles

  • Proficiency in project planning and coordination

  • Ability to manage vendors and ensure adherence to established procedures

  • Strong knowledge of best practices in the field of application development

  • Proven track record in monitoring project progress and making necessary adjustments

  • Experience in preparing detailed reports on project status

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and creativity in developing innovative solutions

  • Proficiency in quality assurance (QA) management

  • Exceptional communication and teamwork skills.

  • Agile experience required

Preferred Skills:

  • Waterfall experience a plus

  • Experience in hospitality beneficial for industry-specific terminology
